The Investment Management Process

One Day In July financial advisors work with the firm's centralized investment desk to create tailored portfolios optimized for the long term.

One Day In July Financial Advisors

Clients can meet with their financial advisor at any of One Day In July's nine locations in Vermont, New Hampshire, and Massachusetts, or virtually via Zoom. Each client has a dedicated financial advisor who they are able to contact directly during the onboarding process and throughout their relationship with One Day In July.

One Day In July financial advisors work with clients to structure investment portfolios that are set up to best serve their individual situations and meet their specific short-, medium-, and long-term goals.

Financial advisors also work with clients on financial planning, focusing on creating simple, actionable plans that can be helpful for budgeting, retirement planning, and managing cash inflows and outflows. We don't believe in creating 50-page planning spreadsheets that no one can realistically follow - those usually end up gathering dust.

The Centralized Investment Desk

One Day In July has a centralized investment desk through which all trades and portfolio adjustments are executed.1 The team on the investment desk works with your One Day In July financial advisor to monitor your portfolio and ensure everything stays on track. This puts multiple sets of eyes on every transaction, reducing the potential for mistakes or improper allocations to occur within your portfolio.

Because each One Day In July financial advisor works with the investment desk, clients can be sure that no matter which office they are affiliated with, their portfolio will align with One Day In July's broader strategy of low-cost, index fund investing. While portfolio construction and asset allocation are tailored to each client's unique circumstances, they are guided by the same consistent investment philosophy across all advisors.

1. There is an exception to this for clients working with Frank Koster, who runs his own investment desk. The investment model for these clients is still in alignment with the overall One Day In July strategy, but there may be some variation in specific asset allocation or funds chosen as compared to those clients invested through One Day In July's centralized investment desk.
