One Day In July was one of just five New England-based investment advisory firms ranked in the top 50 by USA Today and Statista Inc. on their 2025 "Best Financial Advisory Firms" list.
Each year USA Today Partners with Statista to rank the top 500 registered investment advisory firms (RIAs) in the country, after evaluating over 30,000. The rankings are based on the growth of the firms’ assets under management (AUM) over the short term (1 year) and long term (5 years), as well as the number of recommendations they received from clients and peers.
The 2025 USA Today Best Financial Advisory Firms list was published 4.23.25. Recommendations were collected through a survey of 30,000 individuals. One Day In July paid a fee to Statista Inc. to license the use of the award name and logo. One Day In July did not pay to be considered for this ranking. The 2024 USA Today Best Financial Advisory Firms list was published 4.23.24, the 2023 USA Today Best Financial Advisory Firms list was published 4.26.23.

Each year, Seven Days asks readers to nominate and then vote for their favorite Vermont businesses in the Seven Daysies Awards. The award winners were announced July 31, 2024. One Day In July was the winner of the “Best Financial Adviser” category for 2024.
Winners of the Seven Daysies Award were determined by nominations collected from April 15-28, 2024, and then voting from May 2 – June 9, 2024. ODIJ did not pay an application fee to be considered for inclusion in the nominations. While ODIJ consistently advertises with Seven Days, including during the Daysies Award nomination period, ODIJ is not affiliated with Seven Days Media.
August 2024
Each year, Citywire names the top 50 RIA (Registered Investment Advisor) growers in the U.S., state by state. One Day In July was named the top grower for Vermont in 2024.
In creating the award list, Citywire considers historical Form ADV data provided by Discovery Data and uses a series of filters and screens to a) remove firms that don’t do financial planning and/or are controlled by banks or broker-dealers and b) zero in on firms that are growing in terms of both assets and employees. Citywire published the 2024 list on 08.19.24. One Day In July pays a fee to use the Citywire logo in promotional materials. The 2022 Citywire 50 Growers Across America list was published in July 2022.

ODIJ was notified of its status as winner for the 2023 award, published in the May 2023 magazine issue, on 4/10/23. ODIJ has not paid an application fee to be considered for inclusion in these lists. A SmartAsset study released in September 2023 listed One Day In July among the 30 fastest growing registered investment advisory firms (RIAs) in the US.
The number of registered investment advisory firms (RIAs) has been rapidly increasing as more and more people have realized the value of working with a financial professional who is a fiduciary on all accounts, for all clients.
SmartAsset looked at more than 1,700 RIAs for this study and ranked them based on changes in client account totals and assets under management (AUM) between 2020 and 2023.
Out of over 1,700 firms, One Day In July ranked 29th.
Firms were ranked based on changes in client account totals and assets under management (AUM) between 2020 and 2023. Firms were only considered if they had at least $500 million in AUM, had no regulatory disclosures related to disciplinary action, and offered financial planning services. SmartAsset released the list on 9/6/2023.
