Paul Barry

I have been an investment advisor for 27 years. I view myself not just as a financial advisor, but as an advocate for the investor. The mission of One Day In July matches my ethics and fuels my enthusiasm.

New Hampshire Financial Advisor

I spent 21 years at Merrill Lynch and three at Wells Fargo where I advised individuals and corporations on investment matters. After years working at two of the largest investment firms in the world I am excited to be part of One Day In July; a firm that serves clients in an ethical and transparent manner. My business motto is: "Lowering Fees, Raising Standards."

Each client is an individual, with a unique story, set of goals and portfolio. I understand my clients' needs and goals, and they know that I devote quality time to get them where they need - and want - to be.

Growing Up & Today

I grew up outside of Boston in a large family - I have nine siblings! In 1988 I graduated from the University of New Hampshire with a degree in business. I moved to the New Hampshire Seacoast in 1999 and never left. I currently live in Exeter, NH, helping to raise three wonderful sons. With two in college and one in high school, I can often be found on the cheering on the sidelines whether it's a lacrosse field or hockey rink. In my free time I am often surfing at Janness Beach or skiing in the White Mountains.

Community Counts

I deeply value working with my local community and helping wherever I can. I am currently a Guardian ad Litem with CASA NH, advocating for abused children in the New Hampshire courts and foster system.
Over the years I have worked with several area non-profits: as a board member for the Community Child Care Center in Portsmouth, a sponsor and board member for Education for All Children (EFAC), a board member for 3S Artspace in Portsmouth, a member of the NH State Board of Mental Health Practice, and as co-chair of the Exeter Hospital United-In-Wellness Committee.

"Jeaopardy" and other Fun Facts

In 2001 I fulfilled a childhood dream when I competed on the game show "Jeopardy." I am also an avid surfer - even during during the cold New Hampshire winter!
